In brief:

• Follow all applicable laws and pedestrian safety norms — use good judgment and common sense.  Playing this game does not give or encourage you or anyone anyone else to violate laws or safety norms.  We accept no responsibility for any injury sustained while playing the game.
• You must be 18 years of age or older (or else be playing as a pair with your legal guardian, using the guardian’s phone, and with the guardian assuming full liability)
• Photographic release: we can use your photography from the game, and take pictures/video of players and participants in the game, and reuse those pictures for our promotional materials and research.

I agree that my participation in the Leimert Phone Company’s activity Sankofa Says is voluntary and that I assume all risk of injury, illness, damage or loss to me or to my property that might result from my participation. I fully understand that this Activity involve risks of bodily injury, and I fully accept and assume all such risks and all responsibility for losses, costs, and damages I incur as a result of participation in the Activity. I hereby release, discharge, and covenant not to sue the Leimert Phone Company, its respective administrators, directors, agents, officers, volunteers, and employees, other participants, any sponsors, advertisers, and if applicable, owners and lessors of premises on which the Activity takes place.

I ACKNOWLEDGE THAT I HAVE CAREFULLY READ THIS WAIVER AND RELEASE AND I FULLY UNDERSTAND THAT, BY ACCEPTING THE TERMS BY TEXT MESSAGE, I AM WAIVING ANY RIGHT THAT I MAY HAVE TO BRING A LEGAL ACTION OR TO ASSERT A CLAIM AGAINST THE LEIMERT PHONE COMPANY FOR NEGLIGENCE. I intend my acknowledgement to be a complete and unconditional release of all liability.

Participation constitutes permission for the Leimert Phone Company to use the participant’s name, likeness or photographic entries for publicity and promotional purposes without additional compensation unless prohibited by law.

All players will be asked to accept these terms by SMS with a link to this web page; if players reply to that message with the word ‘accept’, then they agree that they have read this waiver and do fully accept the terms.
